Founder’s note · Nectra

Every jar has
a heartbeat.

A small, honest story about leaving screens behind and learning to follow the rhythm of the hive.

THE WORK THAT GAVE ME A REASON TO LOOK UP

Hello from the hive

I’m Sakthi-
beekeeper and founder.

Before Nectra, I spent years in IT, building software and solving problems that only ever lived on a screen.

Then I found work that asks you to listen closely, work with the seasons, and let nature lead.

The turning point

One taste
changed things.

It was thick, raw, almost stubborn-nothing like what I’d known before. It stayed with me, and left me with a question I couldn’t shake.

“When did honey stop
being honey?”

THE TASTE THAT STAYED

The more I looked into it, the clearer the answer became-and the more it bothered me.

“Real honey shouldn’t be rare.
It should just be real.
That belief is why Nectra exists.

What that means today

Close to the
hive. Close to
the truth.

Today, we keep our own beehives and do our own beekeeping. Every jar is sourced from hives we tend ourselves, tested by hand, and packed personally.

  1. 01TendWe stay close to the bees and the season.
  2. 02TestWe check each small harvest with care.
  3. 03PackWe send it out with our own hands.

A promise, not a pitch

“We didn’t build Nectra to sell honey. We built it because real honey almost disappeared and someone had to bring it back.”

- Sakthi Founder & Beekeeper, Nectra
